Bengaluru's inaugural underground air-conditioned market, Palike Bazaar, situated in Vijayanagar near the Metro station and bus stand, officially opened to the public on Sunday. Being the first of its kind in South India, it is modeled after Delhi's Palika Bazaar. The city's underground development also includes an approved Tunnel Road project to tackle Bengaluru's persistent traffic issues. This ambitious project involves an 18-kilometer twin-tube tunnel stretching from Hebbal Flyover to the Central Silk Board Junction, featuring five access points. However, it will take some time before the people of Bengaluru can utilize this new Tunnel Road.
